# 1 — The Goal: everyone is looking for diversity and inclusion ⚖😎
Hello everyone,
This year has been marked by a series of events that will leave lasting impressions on our lives. Among them, we have witnessed reprehensible acts that have compelled the world to reflect and question the way things stand. Numerous companies have stepped forward to take action and become agents of change, fostering divercity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Only this week, we saw a new Chief Equity and Impact Officer and a new VP of Global Diversity & Inclusion welcomed at Omnicom and Ubisoft respectively.
The events at Google have not escaped our attention. You can read the full summaries below to follow all the twists and turns! Again, it is not enough to simply claim inclusivity — we must demonstrate it through our behavior every day. Being inclusive is about both collective and of course individual action.
Looking at Glassdoor, we can see more and more users demonstrating an interest in diversity and racial equity (an increase of 60% since the summer). Will this development inspire more companies to act and adapt their approaches to attract talented employees? Only time will tell… It has certainly inspired Glassdoor, which has released a new tool for assessing and rating companies for their handling of issues related to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
A series of articles and videos are also available below to help expand your knowledge of DEI & belonging. These resources may also help you to identify what makes each of us unique and recognize that our individual differences are a source of collective strength.
Take care and see you soon for the next newsletter.
Best regards,
